Adam at Dixie Motors was fantastic when my check engine light came on while visiting Tybee Island on vacation. He got the car in right away, was able to diagnose the problem quickly and easily and was very professional and trustworthy in recommending next steps. My wife and I have been using Dixie Motors for the past several years and greatly appreciate their honesty and kindness. If we drop our car off there is usually someone ready to walk out to help you immediately. No waiting in line and no rude customer service. They have never tried to "upsell" us on any repairs. If you are looking for an honest, reliable and professional mechanics' shop, don't look any further. I am from Atlanta and was visiting our daughter in Savannah when my check engine light came on. Adam at the shop took me in without an appointment and checked the car. The next day he also reassured me about being able to drive it but that I needed to have it check in Atlanta. You can tell, these people are honest, do not try to upsell you and are looking out for their clients. I highly recommend this place.

Wow! Fabulous service. I'm from Canada. I got a major failure on my alternator that was changed for a new one 10 days ago. Without their devotion to help me, I would have been stuck in Savannah for all weekend. Even the 2nd provided didn't work well. They've done magic. I'm not gone a say what they did because you'll ask for the same treatment. Lol. I've been able to drive my 21h without any issue. Thanks a lot to John and the team.

I had to leave my vehicle for 10 days before they could get to it; but they told me to expect that. Once they started working on the truck, they kept me informed on everything that was being done. It needed additional work; but they prioritized which needed to be done first. I will definitely go back when I can afford the next repairs!

It took me several attempts at writing this critique of Dixie Motors. I have been taking my family automobiles here for well over 20 years. These guys (Mark and Tim) are like family. I don't use any other automotive repair service. In 20 years I have never had to take my car back because they didn't get it fixed the first time. Customer service is simply amazing and consistent over 20 plus year. Thanks to all the staff at Dixie Motors for many many years of great services.

I was traveling to Savannah and as soon as I got into town my car's alternator died. I was traveling alone and meeting someone in town so I was very shaken up. I called Dixie Motors and they handled the towing process and kept me up to date with what was going on with my car. They were very up front open and honest with the timeline and price. They even got it done ahead of schedule. They have been extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend them.

I called Tuesday ( midday) they told me they could tow the car to their shop. The car would not go into gear . So Wednesday morning they picked the car up and took it to their shop. Told me they would not be able to see it or look at it till Monday. I received a call Friday before lunch , it was ready and not as expensive as I thought. Thank you Dixe motors

These fellas gave me a heartstopper of a quote, but that's the price for owning a driving machine. Everything was fair and fast. As a single woman, I felt like they explained everything well. They even explained how I could wait on some repairs for a bit to make the price less burdensome. Thanks to their expertise, I decided to go all in on repairs. Honest and amazing bunch of guys. If you are new to town, this is the shop that all of the locals go to for the repair needs. These people are honest, friendly, and tell you the truth. Even if you live far away, it is worth the drive. I also love how John gives me bad news on my car like a sweet mortician...lol. My car has a ton of miles on it, so when something breaks, I always expect it to cost a fortune, but sometimes it is something small. They also work with Tire Rack and let you drop-ship tires there. They also do great basic maintenance like rotations and oil changes.

A few months ago I recently bought a new car and went in for an oil change and learned that the oil filter adaptor housing was cracked. The dealership wanted to charge ridiculous prices because it was a "dealership" part. Then sky high prices for tune up and transmission fluid change. I called around and when I heard back from Mark Trammel he looked for the part and gave me a reasonable quote. At this point I hadn't committed but he knew that it was the only one available and ordered it anyways so when I decided to come in he would have it without waiting on back order. He was a life saver while I was being indecisive he took a chance on me and saved me a lot of stress. They were quick and great service. I was able to get all my services for more than reasonable pricing. They never tried to push anything I didn't need. I will be back for all my future needs and highly recommend this business every time. I regret not writing this sooner but couldn't go on without saying something Thx Dixie motors you really came through for me!!

It is rare to find a shop that doesn't always try to nickel and dime you. Dixie Motors is that rare exception. Every time I take my truck and my wife's car there I know I am leaving it with experienced repairmen. They always do a quality job and give the vehicles a good check over and recommend repairs instead of forcing you to get something done that you don't won't done at that time. The most recent work they did for me was replaced a water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, and some heater hoses. Will not take my vehicles anywhere else in Savannah!

We were so happy THAT OUR CAR WAS FIXED SO QUICKLY (it had been necessary to extend our stay at the house we had rented, and additionally to procure a car from budget, all extra expenses). We picked up our car and drove to Elkin, NC, for a night with our sister-in-law; the next day we headed for Johnstown, PA, for Thanksgiving dinner with my wife's brother's family. It was truly a memorable Thanksgiving: great food, good conversation and a thankful atmosphere, all because of the wonderful people at Dixie Motors. So, my recommendation is for anyone travelling in the Savannah area, who needs an auto repair, to give the fair and caring people, and excellent mechanics, at Dixie Motors a chance to make your travel days bright and fruitful. Great job Dixie Motors. My car was towed to the shop Saturday night. They did not open until 7:30 AM Monday morning. I received a call at 7:37 AM Monday morning explaining what was wrong. It was ready for pick up by 2PM that day. I will gladly do business with Dixie Motors again in the future!

Best car place I've ever been to. They are honest, have integrity, are reliable, reasonable and do quality work. My friend worked here for 20 years before he passed and as a good Christian man I know he wouldn't have worked here if they were bad people. The techs don't work on commission so have no reason to make up something about your car. They have never done me, my mom, my family and friends wrong. You can't do any better than these young men who took over the business from their father. Tim is awesome!

An awesome car repair place. Never been more pleased by a car repair shop. They are very fairly priced, and are genuine. They don't try to rip you for parts or extra unneeded repair. I had an engine light come on and it needed a knock sensor replaced. Very fair price. Also have dealt with them on starter issues.
